Why Choose Composite for the “Wet Coast”?

In the Fraser Valley, rain and moisture are the enemies of traditional wood. At Fine Line Carpentry, we specialize in TimberTech and AZEK composite decking because they are engineered to withstand our wet winters without rotting, warping, or fading.

Rain & Moisture Proof

Composite decking won't rot, warp, or absorb water like traditional wood.

Fade & Scratch Resistant

Advanced polymer caps protect against UV, stains, and everyday wear.

Zero Maintenance

No sanding, staining, or sealing. Just clean with soap and water.

What Is Composite Decking?

Composite decking is made from a combination of wood fibres and plastic. It's durable, low maintenance, and — perhaps most important in our rainy region — resistant to rot and insect damage. We also install AZEK PVC decking, which is 100% cellular PVC with no wood fibre at all.

Unlike traditional wood decking, composite decking doesn't require staining or sealing, saving you time and money in the long run. It comes in a variety of colours and finishes to match any style.

Of Course We Love Wood

We love using wood accents on our projects because nothing is quite as beautiful as the look of natural or engineered wood. If you have your heart set on wood, we can do it! We also love the ease of maintenance and durability of our high-end composite products. Whether you go all wood or simply use wood highlights, we will ensure you get the best quality product available.

Our Composite Options

We don't just install; we design. Whether you're looking for the capped polymer protection of TimberTech AZEK or the cost-effective durability of TimberTech Edge, we have a solution for your budget.

TimberTech PRO & EDGE

Why We Chose TimberTech Over Other Companies

We used to sell both TimberTech and other composite products, but after a few years we found our clients picked the TimberTech and AZEK colours over the competition when given a side-by-side choice. That's why we are the only TimberTech Platinum installer from Chilliwack to Maple Ridge.

Investment vs. Value

While composite decks have a higher upfront cost than pressure-treated wood, they pay for themselves in maintenance savings over just a few years. No annual sealing, no board replacements, and could lead to a significantly higher resale value for your home.
